When there aren't repercussions for actions, people get cocky. Usually people who do things like that have something else in their real lives thats making them say hurtful things. I know it's not super helpful for your situation, but you should feel bad for them. Why do you think they're so good? They use this game to escape their real lives because more than likely, their real lives suck. So pray for the haters; if their lives are so dull that they go online to bully people, be proud of yourself for giving those losers something to do.
