She might not of wanted her mum to know as it might be awkward ino i'd find it awkard, and why dont you just say, look if you cant tell me if you like me or not then am not going to talk to you and explain why you want to know< and if she says fine then she doesnt really like you because if your worth it an she likes you she will fight for you:)
