Any gore video games around?

I'm kind of bored of that ragdoll kill that you see in CoD..Never really enjoyed it from the beginning..I want to see blood guts spit and a** everywhere, since the law doesn't wan't me doing that irl..heheh(joking..) has anyone ever noticed not really any kind of real gore games have been released that involves guns(so no mortal kombat)? Is that against the video game development code? Left4Dead now that I think of it is sort of like that...
