Atheists, how do you confront theism out in the world?

I usually don't confront it unless I have to or I'm asked to. And then I just calmly state facts and reasoning and that's it. Religious beliefs are like sides in a war, or like playing world of warcraft where you have to attack the opposite side the second you see it. Once and a while people around me talk about God and, well, whatever.
