Should I tell her how I feel or no?

does you town have a florist? if so you could order a few flowers and have them sent to the school... on the card you could have them write " I miss how close we used to be. will you go to prom with me?" or something like that.. hope it helps some, good luck!! and cheer up it'll all get better!
