In this situation-what do i do?!?

I used this other girls pictures as my profile picture on a chat site. I guess I didn't think I'd like anyone and just wanted to check it out. By the time I did start liking someone I was scared to tell him because I Really liked him. As luck would have it the girl who's pictures I used is not only gorgeous, she is all over the internet-youtube, facebook etc. This other girl who is on the site posted my profile link to the real girl's page (actuallly I think she created a fake account but Idk for sure) along with the pictures I used. Then she waited until me and my crush were online and she posted the link. I told her I loved him and asked why she was doing it. All she said was she doesn't like him like that but idk I find that hard to believe because it seems she went to a great extent to post the link. She also told me she saved all the pictures to repost later. She also said she knows this girl irl. Now if she knew the whole time why did she wait months before telling him? I think this was part of her plan for me to like him so she could hurt me. It just seems what she did was very *doggish and out of her way especially if as she says she doesn't like him. Now on top of all that he is friends with her. I don't understand Why he wouldn't be angry with her for not telling him sooner as she said she 'knows' this girl (at least via the internet). Also just wondering what to do in this situation
